A 20-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of and dealing in drugs on February 3 at the Actonville Hostel.
Spokesperson Sgt Godin Nyathi said the man was arrested by the EMPD officers who received a tip-off.

“The officers then went to the hotel and found the man in one of the rooms identified by the informer,” said Sekele.
“The man and his room were searched by the officers who then found eight brown plastic-wrapped drug packets, allegedly nyaope, and cash.”
A case of being in possession of and dealing in drugs was opened and the man was detained at the Actonville Police Station.
He is expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
