Sgt Godin Nyathi has been appointed as the new Actonville police communications officer, effective from January.
Nyathi has been a police officer for 16 years and he holds a BA degree.
He joined the Actonville Police Station in 2004 as a client service centre officer and later became a crime prevention officer.

In 2011, he was promoted to a sergeant.
Nyathi was appointed previously as a spokesperson between 2006 and 2008.
He is looking forward to building a working relationship with the community so both parties can fight crime together.
He said he will always be available to listen to the community’s concerns.
