A homeowner and a domestic worker were tied up during a house robbery on June 11 on President Steyn Road in Rynfield Agricultural Holdings around 1.30pm.
Benoni SAPS spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele said it is alleged three armed men got into the premises and held the domestic worker at gunpoint.

“They asked her where the homeowner was, to which she replied she think he was outside,” said Sekele.
“Two of the robbers went outside and came back with the homeowner. They tied them up with cables and told the domestic worker to lie down.”
The robbers searched the house while holding the owner at gunpoint.
Sekele said they then asked the owner to open the safe, from which they took one pistol and two rifles.

They also fled with two television sets and two cellphones.
No injuries were reported.
The spokesperson said it is not clear if the robbers were on foot or in a vehicle.
A case of house robbery was opened at the Benoni Police Station.
