BFS arrests one suspect for possession of dagga

Investigation continues in all cases.

It was a quieter weekend for the Benoni Flying Squad’s successes, but the arrest they could make for crime, they ensured was done from July 3 to July 5.

“Officers arrested one suspect and recovered one motor vehicle,” said BFS spokesperson WO Grant Giblin.

“Officers arrested one suspect in Swazi Section, Daveyton, after he was found in possession of dagga weighing around 38 grams.”

In further policing, an abandoned white Toyota Avanza was recovered at Xoba Street, Ivory Park, reported hijacked on a Rabie Ridge case.

The suspect, aged 29, will be appearing in the local Magistrate’s Court, facing a charge of possession of drugs.
