Enjoy art while you shop

Visitors can enjoy demonstrations by local artists each day at the exhibit

Northmead Square will be transformed into every art lover’s delight from December 9 to 13.

Members of Benoni Art Route and Artists Working Together are hosting an exhibition with all sorts of interesting and exciting elements for the public to enjoy.

These include a painting demonstration at 11am each day by prominent art teachers (members of Benoni Art Route) Paul Botes, Larry Mervitz, Pam Selkirk, Bonnie Franks and Elaine Marx.

Visitors can snap a pic of their favourite art piece and share it on the mall’s Facebook page to stand a chance to win a painting.

Artists will also be handing out discount vouchers for framing.

Elaine explained that a percentage of the proceeds of the sale of artworks during four-day exhibition will go to Kid’s Haven.

See benoniartroute.co.za for more information about the organisation, its members and their regular exhibitions.
