Witnesses sought following Actonville shooting

Police suspect this might have been a hit.

The Actonville SAPS are calling on any witnesses to come forward after a 38-year-old man was shot dead on March 3 in Pillay Street, Actonville.

Spokesperson Capt Pheello Mathapo said according to a preliminary investigation, the deceased was standing by his motor vehicle when he was approached by two unknown men.

“The duo shot him in the upper body and fled the scene,” said Mothapo.

“Nothing was taken from the deceased or from his vehicle.”

Police suspect this might have been a hit.

A case of murder was opened at the Actonville SAPS.
