NPC needs food donation for clean-up

The Etwatwa Greening Team in Ward 109 will be hosting a clean-up on June 5 and is looking for anyone who can assist in sponsoring catering for the team on the day.

The meeting point, if anyone wishes to take part in the clean-up, will be Barcelona Primary School in Ngungunyana Ave, Winnie Mandela, Benoni.

“The Etwatwa Greening Team operates as a NPC that hosts regular clean-ups and spreads awareness of environmental issues,” said Vusi Matladi, Daveyton resident and founder of Etwatwa Greening Team.

“Because we operate as an NPC, we have a limited budget and would appreciate any form of donation that an organisation or person can offer.”

The team would appreciate the following:
• Cool drink

• Water

• Fruit or other snacks, sandwiches or hotdogs

“Any form of food or drinks would be greatly appreciated,” he said.

The initiative was founded by Matladi in 2013 after he interned with Ekurhuleni Environmental Resources and Waste Management for 12 months. Last year, the team registered as an NPC.

“I feel that my team has made a huge impact on environmental issues and awareness,” he said.
