Benoni Flying Squad round-up

Police are investigating all cases.

The Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) recovered six motor vehicles over the weekend of July 9 to 11.

BFS spokesperson WO Grant Giblin said the members recovered the abandoned vehicles in different incidents.

• A white Nissan 1400 at a carwash in Ivory Park was reported stolen in an Etwatwa case.

• A white International Truck at Jet Park Road, which was hijacked in Ventersburg.

• Four Toyota Hiluxes. The first two were recovered at a workshop in Western Extension, Benoni, one at a chop shop in Ivory Park, Extension Two, and the last one at Extension Five in Tsakani.

“It is alleged the Toyota Hiluxes were taken from Jet Park, Pretoria West and Norkem Park.

“At this stage, it is not known who are the suspects and how many were involved. Investigation continues in all cases,” said Giblin.
