Former Daveyton resident bags a masters degree
The former Lesiba Secondary School learner holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of the Witwatersrand and other law-related certificates.
Former Daveyton resident Themba Mnguni has achieved one of his academic goals, completing his Masters of Business Administration at Mancosa.
The 28-year-old completed his masters within 18 months; he also completed a postgraduate diploma in business management before he started with his masters.
He said he is very proud of his performance.
“I feel happy and relieved, as I’ve put in so much effort, time and money in finishing the qualification,” said Themba.
“Through this journey of completing my MBA, one of the challenges was paying for my fees. Last year, my employer couldn’t trade for three months, which led to heavy pay cuts for me. We also didn’t have lecturers due to the Covid-19 regulations. I had to overcome that through study groups and getting private tutors for some of the modules.
The qualified lawyer said his next step is to acquire non-legal managerial experience.
“I wish to use the knowledge I have obtained from my MBA in the workplace to become an MD or CEO of a business with high revenue.

“I chose this qualification because I’m passionate about business. I believe this qualification will open more opportunities for me in the business world,” he said.
His family, mentors and the infinite possibilities of this world keep him motivated to achieve more.
The former Lesiba Secondary School learner holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Witwatersrand and other law-related certificates.
In 2017, he was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
He is also a major shareholder and CEO of Theluba Events (trading as TM Projects), which was established in July 2015.
The admitted attorney wants to use his story to inspire other young people not to give up on their dreams.
He said young people must not be scared; they must go after their dreams even with limited resources. They must do it for themselves, their family and the generations to come, they must never change their goals to accommodate reality, and they must continue to hustle.
