Voting registration to take place this weekend

Voting stations will be open from 09:00 to 17:00 on both days.

Benoni residents are encouraged to register to vote for the local government elections on September 18 and 19.

Voting stations will be open from 08:00 to 17:00 on both days.

You will be able to check if you are correctly registered, do new registrations, as well as re-register if you have moved since the last elections.

According to ward 28 councillor Mary Goby, residents must vote in the area where they stay.

Voting stations in Benoni are as follows:

• Gauteng Eastern Tennis Club in Country Lane

• Baptist Church in Wordsworth Ave

• Belvedere School in Uys Krige Street

She added that these elections are probably the most important ever to “change the governance of Ekurhuleni”.

“Please encourage all your friends and family to register and vote for better service delivery,” she concluded.
