Body of man found in Putfontein

A decomposed body of a man was found at a reservoir between Mayfield Extension One and 45 in Putfontein at around 17:00 on September 26.

Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Sgt Raider Ubisi said the body, believed to be that of a man in his 40’s, was found by a community member.

The cause of death is unknown and a post-mortem is being conducted.

An inquest docket was opened at the Putfontein SAPS.
