Two people were killed and one left critically injured when their vehicle rolled off the N12 in Daveyton on October 24 around 20:20.
ER24 communications officer Russel Meiring said they arrived on scene and found a light motor vehicle on the side of the road. A man was found trapped inside the car, while two women were lying a few metres from the car.
“Medics assessed the patients and found the man had already succumbed to his numerous injuries, while the two women were in a critical condition,” said Meiring.
“Medics immediately began to treat the patients in an effort to stabilise their vital signs. Unfortunately, after some time, one of the critically injured women succumbed to her injuries. The second woman was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care.”
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
