Garland Ladies ready to lunch again

There will be sanitiser and the ladies will wear their masks.

Festive food and fellowship with friends is the perfect way to welcome back the Garland Ladies Luncheon Club as they are set to host their first event since February last year.

An African Christmas is the theme for the November 25 affair at the Ebotse Golf and Country Estate (Khatze Room), with “music guru” Sean Brokensha as the guest speaker.

President of the club Rhoda Toker said that she is thrilled to be hosting the “ladies” again as the past two years had been difficult with some members semigrating, resigning or, sadly, have died.

“Our ladies are very excited about it as they will be able to see their friends, chat and enjoy the camaraderie that they have missed for so long,” Toker said.

“We are hoping to have at least 70 to 80 guests and members as the venue can accommodate double that amount, so we will be within Covid regulations.”

She stressed all other Covid regulations will also be adhered to.

The Garland Ladies are looking to welcome new members to the club and anyone wanting to enjoy the company of women who meet once a month to socialise and enjoy some intellectual stimulation in the form of an interesting speaker or entertainer can contact Grace van Zyl on 083 333 7766 for more details.
