It’s been three months since NPO Purple Red Paws closed its doors, but 40 of its dogs have still not found a place to call home.
The organisation had to close down due to a lack of funds to look after the animals in its care.
Purple Red Paws was established in 2010 because of the co-owners, Zalita Laas and Marisa Meano’s, love for animals and their inability to leave animals stranded.
While the effects of the pandemic put a strain on its finances and the number of donations drastically decreased, the organisation’s last hope as it closed one of the hardest chapters in its existence was to find these furry babies proper homes.
The organisation follows all adoption protocols before the animals are placed.
To give a pet the gift of a new home this Christmas or for more information, contact Laas on 076 412 2962.
