WIN A LEKKER LOCAL PRIZE: Tell us why you love Benoni

We have it all in Benoni, so why do you love our city?

Happy Valentine’s Day, Benonians!

The City Times has again declared February “We love Benoni Month”.

After all, our city is at the heart of who we are, so why no restore some pride in Benoni this month.

It would appear the favourite saying on social media these days is that Benoni is turning into Karenville – because apparently our city is full of moaners.

Well, there is quite a bit to moan about if you look around at the state of things in our CBD, parks and lakes, and load-shedding, water-shedding. crime and who knows what else.

But, in typical Benoni style, we know what to do when life gives us lemons …. grab a bottle of tequila or make lemon meringue!

Yip, we just keep living our best lives here in the East supporting local and making the most of our beautiful outdoor spaces, the many markets, shopping centres, restaurants, kiddies venues, school and other sports events, community projects and charity events.

We have it all in Benoni! So, why do you love Benoni?

Give us 5 reasons (no more) and you will be entered into a lucky draw to win a fantastic lekker local prize from one of our great small businesses.

Leave your 5 REASONS I LOVE BENONI in the comment section under this story on our Facebook page and you’ll automatically be entered.

Entries close on Friday (18 February) and the winner will be announced on February 21.

Good luck!
