Benoni Open a success

The Benoni Sailing Club held its annual Open Sailing Regatta on February 26 and 27 at Homestead Dam.

Leon de Raay walked away with the seniors’ title while the juniors’ category was won by Aydin O’Hara.

Organiser Dudley Thomson was happy with the turnout.

“We had 28 entries from sailing clubs from across the province. It was a very enjoyable regatta, and the wind was good on Sunday. We had eight races over the two days, and Leon and Aydin were our winners,” said Thomson.
