
A 34-year-old man was recently arrested in Barcelona, Etwatwa, after he allegedly looked nervous when members of the EMPD Tracing Unit approached him while conducting their duty in the area.
According to EMPD media liaison officer Lerato Monyane, the man tried to dodge the police, but he was caught at around 5:30.
“Upon searching the man, the police found illicit substances, 21 Mandrax tablets, with an estimated street value of R1 700,” said Monyane.
The 34-year-old suspect was arrested and is facing charges of possession of narcotics.
