SANBS is encouraging community members to come out in numbers to donate blood. A blood drive will be held at these following venues:
• April 9: Brentwood Pick n Pay from 09:00 to 15:00
• April 12: Hoërskool Brandwag from 09:00 to 14:00
While most of the school drives are not open to the public, the SANBS reminds residents that blood stocks become more critical during holiday periods, such as Easter, and everyone is urged to visit their nearest donor centre if they are eligible to donate blood.

Minimum criteria for donating blood:
• Weigh at least 50kg
• Between the ages of 16 and 65
• Be in good health
• Lead a sexually safe lifestyle
• Consider blood safe for transfusion
• You may only donate every 56 days
