Benoni residents’ opinions on the cancellation of COVID19 levels
Following President Cyril Ramaphosa's address on April 4 that the state of disaster regarding Covid-19 is terminated, residents of Benoni shared voiced their opinion on the subject.
Raymond Masha: "I believe it was a wise decision because lockdown ruined the lives of many people, such as those who lost their jobs. People may be able to get their jobs back now that the state of disaster no longer applies."
Cecilea van Dyk: “I am overjoyed, but I wish the use of masks could be eliminated as well. We have been at odds over this subject for two years now. All I want is for things to return to how they were.”
Anton Geyser: “I think it was a good idea so that we can return to how we used to live our lives as quickly as possible. That was something that everyone needed.”
Fatima Nora: “It makes no difference to me. It doesn't mean anything. We will still be stuck if people don't get vaccinated. I just want everyone to get vaccinated so that this pandemic can be brought to an end.”
Ntokozo Ziqubu: “We miss our normal lives because the past few years have been strange for most of us, even though the normal lives we want to return to will no longer be the same because we have lost so much as a country. The termination, however, means the pandemic is coming to its end.”
