Garland Ladies hit the runway

The club welcomes new members to enjoy their monthly meetings with stimulating guest speakers and a lunch.

High fashion was the order of the day at the April gathering of the Garland Ladies Luncheon Club at Ebotse.

Members of the club strutted their stuff on the red carpet in beautiful designs from Chickitas Fashion Boutique, which is owned by Jenny Dharmavir, also a Garland member.

The theme for the luncheon was Denim Glamour (something denim with a touch of bling) and the members showed up in interesting and creative renditions.

Chickitas Fashion Boutique put on an amazing array of fashion, from denim to evening glamour outfits.
Women were shown how to dress in simple denim and accessorise with jackets, scarves and jewellery to glam it up.

Smart/casual wear was also modelled and the highlight of the afternoon was the evening wear, with outfits for all ages, from matric dance dresses to mother of the bride.

“The fashion show was a huge hit,” said president Rhoda Toker.

She encouraged other women to join the club, explaining they meet once a month, at Ebotse, and there is always an interesting guest speaker and a meal included.

Non-members can also attend. For membership fees and more information contact Rhoda on 082 452 7795.
