Benoni Library closed for renovations
Renovations will be completed by mid-June with the official reopening projected for the beginning of July
The Benoni Library will remain closed until the beginning of July as it undergoing a R3m facelift.
The facility was closed on May 11 and according to Zweli Dlamini, spokesperson for the Ekurhuleni metro, carpets, tiles and toilets will be replaced.
The roof will also be repaired in line with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
“Frequent users who are in possession of library books do not need to worry as return dates will be extended to make provision for the temporary closure of the facility,” said Dlamini.
“Patrons are welcome to use alternative libraries although drop off and collect services will still be available.”
