Daveyton SAPS close down illegal liquor outlets

Tavern operators were each fined R1500

Three illegal taverns in Daveyton were recently closed down following the Daveyton SAPS liquor operation.

Owners were each fined R1 500 as part of the SAPS mission to curb illegal liquor operations.

Daveyton SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Constance Moalusi said the operation comes after members of the community lodged complaints to the police about the illegal operations of taverns in their areas.
