Officers receive long service awards

Lieutenant Colonel Estie Steyl, commander of Benoni K9 is proud to be part of a dedicated team of officers.

Brigadier Samuel Killian, Gauteng provincial head of Rapid Response Services, recently awarded 13 members of the Benoni K9 Unit with long service medals.

Killian congratulated members and acknowledged the challenges members faced everyday on the streets.

“This was a very special occasion and I trust that this event will highlight officers’ hard work and dedication,” he said.

“Please continue with your exceptional service.”

Long service awards were awarded to officers who had served with the unit for 10, 20 and 30 years.
