Luncheon club celebrates 24 years with induction of new president

Guests and new members are welcome

In 1998, a group of fun-loving and enthusiastic women gathered around a table and decided to establish a monthly luncheon club where local women come together, let their hair down and share the joys of life.

On September 22, the vibrant Garland Ladies Luncheon Club celebrated 24 years of existence, ushering in a new era under the guidance of a newly elected president.

Outgoing president and one of the founding members, Rhoda Toker attributes the ongoing success of the club to the persistence of each member as well as committee to foster and create a club that celebrates friendship.

Newly elected president, Margie Kostelac, who joined the club in 2015, will be serving the Garlands for a third time.

“The Garlands is a vibrant club and we hope to not only keep the flame burning but to further grow it, welcoming more like-minded women into our ranks,” said Margie.

“We want to celebrate our individuality while fostering long-lasting relationships with our fellow-members.”

The club meets the last Thursday of every month and the Ebotse Country Club.
