Russel Street hosts ‘spook-tacular’ Halloween trick or treat

The street was abuzz with witches, wizards and little monsters

As part of the Western Extension Village Project, local businesses banded together to host a ghoulishly ghostly Halloween trick or treat along Russel Street, on October 29.

It is estimated that up to 300 people, dressed in their bloody best, took part in the event while 100 entries were received for the various best-dressed categories, which took place at Lemongrass Restaurant.

Ohana means family, even if the smallest member is an eensy-weensy spider. Seen here are Jayden (1), Bev and Kim Mcleod.

Little ones were treated to sweet treats while older revellers could let loose on the dance floor.

“We had a wonderful time hosting this event and appreciate the community’s involvement and support,” said Yvonne Taylor, organiser and owner of Lemongrass.

Mommy Calise Naidoo has gone on the rampage! Seen here are her ‘victims’ Sugan and Girisha (9).

“Without the support and assistance from the CPF, as well as fellow business owners Pam Golding Properties, Quarterdeck, The Victorian Secret, Moonnas House of Curries, The Guardians, Asiago and Rodrigo’s this event would not have been possible.”
