Pugs commemorate King’s coronation
The pugs had a royal time while the humans watched as the new king was crowned.
Pug Rescue SA was abuzz with curtsies and salutations as the furry residents and friends of the organisation commemorated the coronation of King Charles III on May 6.
While droves of dignitaries filed into Westminster Abbey, loyal supporters of the animal welfare organisation proudly donned tiaras while basking in the autumn sun, enjoying a barking good day with their favourite four-legged royalty.
Spotted in the crowd were four energetic Grade Seven learners from St Dunstan’s College, meticulously filling water bowls and tending to the pups.
The boys were at the centre fulfilling their 10 hours of community service.

“We decided to be of service to Pug Rescue because we love animals,” said Joshua Sabbioni.
“We hope that opportunities like these will not only teach us valuable lessons about animal welfare but that our work will make a difference in the lives of the dogs. Volunteering plays a huge role in making the world a better place.”
While firm royalists watched unfolding events live on the big screen TV, others sipped on refreshing beverages while watching with delight as their royal canines played.
