Interact club’s donation a welcome relief

“Thanks to Willowmoore High for this donation. Our children are now able to eat. May they not stop with us and continue helping others in need as well.”

The Neo e Bonolo Drop-in Centre said the donation made by the Willowmoore High Interact Club has made a huge difference to the organisation.

The club donated goods worth R6 000 on August 29 at Willowmoore High School.

“It has made a huge difference,” said caregiver Thakasile Maphisa.

“Our children now have toiletries and sanitary towels which will bring dignity for our girls.”

The organisation provides care to orphans, vulnerable children and those infected with HIV. It’s based in Wattville and was started 13 years ago.

“Thanks to Willowmoore High for this donation. Our children are now able to eat. May they not stop with us and continue helping others in need as well,” Maphisa said.

Sharol Naidoo, from Willowmoore High, said they will continue to create awareness among young people about the scourge of HIV.

“The club continues to inspire and make a difference in the community of Benoni. The staff of Neo e Bonolo selflessly dedicate their lives to vulnerable children. We are excited to partner with them.

“We managed to raise funds to provide, food, sanitary towels and toiletries to the value of R6 000.

“Creating awareness amongst the around the forgotten scourge of HIV was the focus and that all humanity needs to be part of change and awareness,” she said.
