No water in parts of Benoni
The water supply interruption is due to a faulty pump at Farrah Tower.
An unplanned water supply interruption is currently affecting areas in Benoni such as Airfield, Northmead, Farramere, Brentwood Park, Rynfield and Goedeburg.
According to metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, the supply interruption is due to a faulty pump at Farrah Tower.
“The estimated restoration time is not yet established as technicians are investigating the cause of the problem. The City of Ekurhuleni has provided water tankers to residents of Benoni to mitigate the water supply interruption,” said Dlamini.
Residents are adviced to lookout for updates on the city’s digital platforms.
