St Dunstan’s College has again maintained its track record of a 100% matric pass rate since its inception two and a half decades ago.
The class of 2023 pulled out all the stops by producing a record number of distinctions from six upwards, exceeding previous years’ results.
Of the 100 learners who wrote the 2023 IEB examinations, 93% achieved a bachelor’s pass.
Flying the school’s flag, two learners from the school shone the brightest with nine distinctions, followed by three candidates who got eight and four attained seven distinctions.
The results of Karli Janeke and Aidan Jacobs placed them on the IEB’s outstanding achievement list because they were in the top 5% in six or more subjects. Jacobs further achieved 100% in mathematics and 98% for Further Studies Mathematics (Extended).
The school’s rector, Warwick Taylor, attributed the success of the school to the excellent collaboration between the teachers, learners and parents.
“We thank the teachers who gave themselves tirelessly in guiding our learners. Not only has the matric class of 2023 produced some of the best results to date, but they also demonstrated a unity and support of each other, character fitting of a Dustonian,” said Taylor.
