News from the TAG kennels

You cannot rewrite a shelter animal’s past but you can give them a home filled with love.

• As the temperatures drop, The Animal Guardian’s (TAG) demand for food for their canine and feline residents has increased.

Donations of dry and wet food are welcome to ensure the cats and dogs in the organisation are fed.

Loving Lilly is looking for a female human to enjoy pamper parties with. This Shepherd-cross will hold you when you’re feeling blue and celebrate life’s little wins.

• The TAG animals delight at being fashion icons, but with the onset of winter, they are barking for winter woollies.
Whether animal print or blankets featuring Disney princesses, the furry residents are not fussy.

Consider donating blankets and jerseys in all sizes to the animal welfare organisation.

Need some warmth? Raymond is the perfect lap-lad who selflessly shares cuddles in exchange for ear rubs.

• More than two months after rescuing a severely injured male Pitbull cross from Cloverdene, Brave Boy, as he has been dubbed, is almost fully healed and should be released into the care of TAG soon.

According to Annie Jungmann, from the organisation, the pup had to undergo several veterinary procedures to his front legs and eye after sustaining severe injuries consistent with organised dog fighting.

Brave Boy is recovering well and looking forward to meeting his new friends at TAG.

“He is an incredibly loving pup who enjoys love, affection and, of course, treats,” she said.

“Once given the all clear, we will bring him to the shelter where we could get to know him better and get a clearer understanding of his personality. When he has been fully socialised, he will become eligible for adoption.

“Like all our furry residents, this boy deserves a loving home. However, strict home inspections will be conducted before the adoption can be finalised.”

Donald is a Labrador-cross looking for a home where he can tumble and play with young humans. He promises to be your friend for life, unless you are a feline.

• For more information about TAG or to arrange a meet and greet the featured animals, call Jungmann on 076 330 5736 or visit them at 86 Cloverdene Road, Rynfield AH.
