Daveyton charity brings cheer to residents with new shoes

Beneficiaries were identified from five wards across Daveyton.

The Daveyton Stand Up Charity Organisation in collaboration with the Daveyton Community Development Forum, recently donated new shoes to needy residents of Daveyton.

This charitable initiative was made possible by Shoe City Northmead Mall, whose support enabled the distribution of much-needed footwear ahead of the festive season.

Ntsizwa Mahlangu, chairperson of the Stand Up Charity Organisation, shared that the initiative aimed to bring joy to the community.

Members of the Scouts Daveyton attended the event.

“With the festive season approaching, we wanted to bring a smile to needy residents and simply make them happy. This event was also our way of giving back to the community,” Mahlangu said.

Beneficiaries were identified from five wards across Daveyton, ensuring the donations reached those who needed it most. Mahlangu revealed that the organisation is already planning another outreach for December, with hopes of distributing gifts to even more residents.

“We are reaching out to potential partners and donors for support to make this goal a reality.”
