Karateka make the grade

Seven students graded to new belts.

The Lotus Karate junior karateka graded to new belts during a grading ceremony on November 9.

Medha and Krishthi Singh entered the intermediate level when they graded to junior purple belts, while Precious Tshazi and Sadinhi Singh earned their yellow belts.

Onyinye Oguaju and Kiana Soobramoney graded to orange belts, while Katlego Mapaya earned his green belt.

“Lotus Karate Club is extremely proud of them. They worked hard in their training to keep up with the high standards of SASKA. Their grit and determination deserve a standing ovation,” said chief instructor sensei Raveen Dayaram.
