Possession of suspected stolen cellphones
While conducting routine patrols in Pretoria Road, Kempton Park, on November 18, members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) spotted a man showing the contents of a black bag to a pedestrian.

Officers stopped to investigate the transaction and found that the 40-year-old ‘salesman’ was in possession of eight suspected stolen cellphones.

The man was arrested and the phones, valued at R100 000, were confiscated.

These cellphones were confiscated in Kempton Park. A 40-year-old man was arrested on charges of being in possession of suspected stolen goods.

Possession of drugs
A 50-year-old man was arrested at his home in Ext 7, Ivory Park on November 19.

He was found in possession of more than 1.3kg of dagga.

Copper theft
While patrolling the streets of Etwatwa, on November 21, BFS members were flagged down by members of the community, claiming that they had seen a white Toyota Tazz which had reportedly been involved in various crimes in the area.

The vehicle was traced and stopped.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of five bags containing the suspected stolen copper, with an estimated value of R40 000.

Further investigations revealed that the vehicle was reported s stolen in Phola Park, in July.

The two occupants were arrested.

Suspected stolen copper to the value of R40 000 was found inside this vehicle in Etwatwa.

Hijacked vehicles recovered
Two Isuzu bakkies were recovered on Main Road, Olifantsfontein.

The vehicles had been reported as stolen in Tembisa and Sandringham.
