Five members of the Dan Triangle Karate Club earned their first black belts at the KWF grading ceremony headed by the legendary karateka shihan Malcolm Dorfman at the Portuguese Hall in Turfontein on November 2. Quintin Haveman, Debra Watt and Jason Coulson graded to shoda, while Sky Kelly earned her national black belt. Their initiation included 10 fights each before being given their belts.
