Rynfield artist Kino Isaac has been invited to the 41st L Ron Hubbard Writers and Illustrators of the Future contest gala anniversary in Hollywood, California, on April 10.
A thrilled Kino said this opportunity aligns with his various projects of opening doors to struggling independent creatives from Benoni.
“This exciting and time-sensitive opportunity aligns perfectly with my ongoing mandate to uplift independent creatives from lower- and middle-class backgrounds in Benoni and across South Africa.
“Over the years, I’ve worked tirelessly to create platforms that help musicians, designers, authors, and other creatives build their dreams. A key part of this mission has been my podcast, The Kino Isaac Podcast.
“I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been formally invited to Hollywood, California, United States, next month to attend an awards ceremony hosted by Galaxy Press, an international publishing house.”
In a letter L Ron Hubbard House sent to Isaac, president John Goodwin said he’s looking forward to seeing him because Kino is one of their biggest SA supporters.
“With great pleasure, I invite you to the L Ron Hubbard Writers and Illustrators of the Future contest 41st Gala Anniversary Activities 2025.
“I would greatly appreciate your attendance at this international cultural event, particularly since you are one of our biggest supporters from South Africa. You have had me as a guest on your radio show.
“I look forward to seeing you and arranging interviews with our Writer and Illustrator Contest winners and judges,” Goodwin wrote.
Kino needs sponsorship assistance to travel to the United States for the event.
“This is a unique chance to represent Benoni and SA on a global stage, grow my international network and bring back opportunities for local creatives. It’s also a powerful branding opportunity for our city and country.
“In exchange for sponsorship, I’m happy to wear branded clothing, mention sponsors during live interviews, and provide any other visibility as needed.”
