Little Eden Society’s annual wheelchair campaign kicks off at East Rand Mall

It was fun-filled event for a good cause.

There was an air of excitement at the East Rand Mall on February 28 as the Little Eden Society’s eighth annual CEO Wheelchair Campaign, Ride a Mile in My Wheels, launched with a fun-filled event.

March is Intellectual Disability Awareness Month and CEOs and business leaders are invited to join this powerful campaign and spend a full workday in a wheelchair to raise awareness and funds for children and adults with profound intellectual disabilities at Little Eden.

As the campaign launched at the mall, local CEOs and business leaders, including Little Eden’s CEO, Ann Coetzee and Pierre Botha, East Rand Mall’s general manager, raced through the mall in wheelchairs, giving a unique glimpse into the daily struggles of individuals who rely on mobility aids.

General manager of the East Rand Mall, Pierre Botha, participated in the wheelchair race.

Another highlight was that attendees had the opportunity to meet residents whose lives are directly impacted by Little Eden’s programmes.
