Motorist nabbed for drunken driving
Dlamini reiterated the EMDP’s zero-tolerance approach to driving under the influence.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on charges of drunken driving, following an accident, on May 26.
Officers of the EMPD Bronberg Precinct responded to an accident on Eva and Springs roads, Fairleads after it was reported that the driver of a white bakkie had collided into the wall of a business property.
“Upon their arrival, officers noted that the driver might be intoxicated,” said CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.

“A breathalyser confirmed their suspicions and the motorist was transported to the nearest health care facility for blood samples to be collected. He was arrested shortly afterwards.”
The suspect was handed over to the Crystal Park Police Station and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless and negligent driving and malicious damage to property.
