All Ages Tournament showcases rising talent

From thrilling U12 matches to the unveiling of the U16 SA squad, the tournament celebrated talent, teamwork, and the future of youth netball.

The netball courts of Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen came alive from June 29 to July 2 as the South African Schools Netball (SASN) All Ages Tournament brought together top teams from across South Africa and Namibia for a spectacular showcase of youth talent and competitive spirit.

Across the four-day tournament, teams in age groups from U12 to U16 battled it out in one of the country’s most anticipated school netball events. With high energy, skilful play, and tight scorelines, the tournament delivered on all expectations.

U16 SA squad announced

SA Schools Netball unveiled the SA Schools Netball UI6 team for 2025.

They are Francesca Kante-Heumou, Chloe van den Berg, Orefile Magoro, Lianel Groenewald, Deborah Oviahon, Oluchi Ndubueze, Ella Lisa Steenkamp, Milan Engelbrecht, Imitha Mdaka, Charmaine Tsvangira, Nadine van Hoogdalem and Mike Scholtz.

These talented athletes have displayed exceptional skill, dedication, and sportsmanship throughout the All Ages Tournament at Dr EG Jansen. After days of fierce competition and outstanding performances, these players have earned their place to represent South African Schools Netball with pride.

The energy was electric as players brought their best to the court.

A celebration of youth sport

The All Ages Tournament not only crowned champions but also celebrated the spirit of school sport in South Africa. Coaches, families, and supporters packed the stands at Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen, creating an electric atmosphere that inspired young athletes to perform at their best.

“What a phenomenal few days of netball it has been at the tournament. Passion, perseverance, and pure talent lit up every court. Congratulations to all the teams who gave it their all – you’ve made your provinces proud!

“A heartfelt thank you to every player, coach, manager, umpire, parent, and supporter who contributed to the success of this incredible tournament. Your energy and dedication are the backbone of South African Schools Netball. May the memories made here continue to inspire greatness,” said SASN.
