Upcoming Art Alive Exhibition set to intrigue visitors

The exhibition will treat attendees to a cosy atmosphere featuring soup, bonfires, wine, and live music.

Are you an art lover, a supporter of local causes, or simply looking for a unique evening out?

Then the Art Alive Exhibition is the place to be from July 30 to August 2 at the Art Alive Art School in Northmead.
Hosted in partnership with the Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora, this year’s exhibition once again supports Clean Projects, a local initiative dedicated to uplifting and cleaning communities.

The long-standing collaboration continues to combine creativity with compassion, raising much-needed funds through the power of art.

The exhibition will feature an impressive range of artwork, including pieces by Art Alive teachers, over 90 learners from the school, and special guest artist Mike Franks. One of the highlights of the event is the unveiling of a striking abstract collaborative piece, a unified painting composed of individual student-made canvases.

Each year Art Alive students create and donate what has become a popular attraction, charity squares.

These are smaller paintings (20cm x 20cm), sold at R220 each or three for R600, with all proceeds going to the selected charity.
Guests can expect more than just art. The ticket price includes a warm, inviting atmosphere complete with hearty soup, bonfires, wine, and live music, making it a perfect winter outing for the whole family.

Elaine Marx, owner of Art Alive, said: “This year we hope to raise more than ever before in support of Clean Projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful, authentic art in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.”

On July 30 to August 1, the exhibition will run from 16:00 to 21:00 and on August 2 from 11:00 to 21:00.

Tickets are R80 and can be bought by contacting Larry member of the Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora on 082 443 2546, or Elaine (Art Alive Art School) on 084 581 6340 or Clean Projects on 073 284 7656.
