Nel signs off in style

She won the junior women's 6km race in 23:44.

Talented middle-distance runner Bronwyn Nel capped her cross-country season – and time on home soil – with a commanding victory in her final race before jetting off to the United States to begin her studies at Indiana Institute of Technology.

Nel ran three laps of the course at Charl Baard Stadium in Brakpan on July 26 in 23:44 to win the junior women’s 6km race, crossing the line ahead of her Benoni Harriers teammate, Kiana Pepler.
