Lee Rand High’s Ndlovu hits bull’s eye at darts nationals
The three learners represented Gauteng.
Lee Rand High School learner Phindile Ndlovu and partner Anastacia Michel from Alberton clinched the girls’ doubles title during the Darts South Africa National Championships at the Wild Coast Sun Resort and Casino last month.
Representing Gauteng, Ndlovu and Michel claimed nine victories from 10 matches, winning 19 legs to finish the competition with a 36.64 average.
Ndlovu also claimed a bronze in the mixed doubles.
Lee Rand’s Precious Onyekwelu and Lesedi Mosea were fourth in the girls’ doubles, with seven wins from 10 matches and a 37.89 average.
In the women’s singles, Mosea was fourth overall, Onyekwelu sixth and Ndlovu 11th.
Mosea and her mixed doubles partner finished sixth, while Onyekwelu and her partner were 11th.
On the overall girls’ singles rankings, Mosea is fourth, Onyekwelu sixth, while Ndlovu is eleventh.
