Beautiful blossoms are steadily adorning trees, delicately waking nature from
its slumber. The warmer weather is here, calling on us to celebrate spring’s
embrace following the unrelenting winter and to honour the colourful tapestry
of the diverse cultures which make South Africa the Rainbow Nation. Light the
braai fires, turn up the local tunes and dance to the beat of your heart as you fly
the flags of your heritage high on September 24. Shenise Ramaruck, who was
spotted at the Seva Samaj Hall in Actonville fine tuning her South Indian Tamil

Jani went from working as a student intern for the Boksburg Advertiser to being employed as a junior journalist in 2004. Taking time out to start a family, she returned to the Caxton family in 2022 as senior journalist for the Benoni City Times. Her passion is telling her community's stories.
