Court postpones Bouwer murder case to October 30
Anton Bouwer was arrested last year for allegedly killing three members of his family and their domestic worker.
The murder case against Pomona businessman Anton Bouwer resumed in the Gauteng High Court, sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, on September 18, and was postponed to October 30.
The postponement was granted to allow the defence to make representations seeking the withdrawal of some charges against Bouwer.
Bouwer was arrested on January 22, 2024, after he allegedly went on a shooting spree, killing his parents, Robert (78) and Bettie (73), at their home in Bredell, Kempton Park, then allegedly fatally shooting his stepdaughter, Natasha (23), and the family’s domestic worker, Elizabeth Mahlangu (56), at their home in Fairleads, Benoni.
Adélle (43), Bouwer’s wife, was also shot before Bouwer reportedly turned the gun on himself at their Fairleads home. His wife was airlifted to the hospital and survived the shooting.
