Etwatwa SAPS seek divine intervention

Attendees were urged to protect women and children, especially during the festive season when abuse and violence increase.

With the festive season fast approaching, the Etwatwa SAPS has turned to prayer, seeking divine intervention to help curb crime in the community.

The police station recently hosted a spiritual crime prevention event at Mpengesi Primary School, bringing together local pastors, officers from neighbouring police stations, EMPD members, Community Safety officials and GBV Brigades.

The gathering promoted peace, unity and safety during a time often marked by an increase in criminal activities.

The event highlighted the value of collaboration between faith-based organisations and the police in addressing the root causes of crime.

Speakers from various organisations and government departments spoke out against GBV, rape, substance abuse and bullying in schools. They emphasised the importance of moral guidance and community support in the fight against social ills.

Etwatwa station commander Colonel Patrick Qangase encouraged officers to uphold professionalism, integrity and respect in their service to the public.
