The Eagle Tumbling Club celebrated a year of excellence and dedication during its annual prize-giving ceremony at John Barrable Hall on November 7 and 8, where tumblers across all age groups were honoured for their achievements.
The club had a successful year, with 27 national champions qualifying for the SA Aerialnastix Championships.

The highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of long-serving mentor Colleen Jooste, who was named coach/employee of the year for her unwavering commitment to developing young athletes and elevating the club’s competitive spirit.

The two-day celebration shone a spotlight on the club’s rising stars, whose performances throughout the season reflected hard work, discipline and passion for the sport.

From beginners to seasoned competitors, each tumbler was applauded for their progress and contribution to the club’s continued success, reinforcing Eagle Tumbling’s reputation as one of the country’s top development hubs.
“We are extremely proud of all the 3 and 4 year olds that competed this year and did well. Our High Performance tumblers namely, Unothando Zondo, Kieran Keane and Stefan Kruger all finished as winners in their categories.
“Next year we are going to Mauritius for an International competition and I am sure we will have at least 50 children qualifying for this event next August,” said founder Cindy McCall-Peat.
