Boksburg Athletic Club (BAC) athlete and coach David Gamede clinched the men’s grandmasters (60 to 69 years) title at the Lesedi AC Reconciliation Day Half-Marathon on December 16 at the Vosloorus Stadium. He clocked 01:25:29 for first place in his category and finished a remarkable 22nd overall, crossing the finish line 13 minutes ahead of runner-up Zacharia Mogotsi, also from the BAC, who finished in 01:38:54 for second place. Tlhoriso Maphike of the Alberton Amateur AC completed the podium in 01:41:01.
