Ashton’s Okes shows his gift of the gab
He impressed judges with his speech, Fascinating Inventions That Changed the World.
Ashton International College learner Alistair Okes proved he has a flair for public speaking after clinching first place at the recent inter-primary speech evening hosted by Arbor Primary School.
The Grade Seven learner impressed judges with his speech, Fascinating Inventions That Changed the World, finishing ahead of competitors from several local schools, including Arbor Primary, Rynfield Primary, Ashbury and Crystal Park Primary.

Okes entered the competition with the encouragement and support of his English teacher, Stacey Miller.
“The whole school is incredibly proud of this excellent achievement,” said Miller.
