Giggles and feverous talking echoed across Homestead Dam on the morning of August 7 as moms, daughters, grannies and aunties of Farrarmere Primary School walked along the placid waters for its Women’s Day celebration. The school’s Walking Together in Celebration of Women paid homage to the incredible women who surround, guide and inspire girls. Jani went from working as a student intern for the Boksburg Advertiser to being employed as a junior journalist in 2004. Taking time out to start a family, she returned to the Caxton family in 2022 as senior journalist for the Benoni City Times. Her passion is telling her community's stories.
