As part of its commitment to giving back and putting community first, George Rennie & Co extended its care beyond July, making every day feel like Mandela Day (July 18).

First on its list was delivering a gently used quad bike to Cloverdene’s The Animal Guardians (TAG).

Often called out to assist with animal rescues in open fields and areas inaccessible to vehicles, the animal welfare organisation can now add the four-wheeler to its list of assets.

The new vehicle will allow the NPO’s Annie Jungmann and Katie O’Neill to reach animals in need more easily and efficiently.

The property gurus then traded their polished uniforms for workwear as they cut, trimmed and tamed the brush and grass at TAG’s new property in Cloverdene, as it continues with construction of kennels, a cattery as well as other care facilities.

George Rennie also saw to a bakkie-load of food and treats, leaving TAG’s furry friends in a tail-wagging good mood.

Turning its attention to younger residents, the property professionals gave the office a skip, enjoying pizza with the children of Brakpan’s Mother’s Nest before whisking the brood off to the movies.
