Man airlifted to hospital after accident on N12

A passenger who was in the truck suffered minor injuries

A 23-year-old driver was flown to the hospital for medical assistance after his truck lost control and collided with a retention wall on the N12 highway on October 8.

According to ER24 spokesperson Ross Campbell, ER24 paramedics were on the scene at 11:20 along with members from Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) and EMPD.

“The 23-year-old male was found entrapped in the cab and was extracted while advanced life support interventions were being administered.

“The male passenger who was in the truck suffered minor injuries. He was treated for minor injuries and transported to hospital,” said Campbell.

Law enforcement officials were on the scene to investigate.
